The DeKalb County School District has devised a plan to make up time lost instructional time due to Hurricane Irma. Beginning October 2, 2017 to October 31, 2017 all DeKalb County schools will extend their school day 20 minutes. In addition, the county has converted November 7, 2017 (Election Day and Teacher Work Day) to a regular school day for all students and staff.
