CHESNUT CELEBRATES HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH

We are committed to maintaining a school culture that celebrates the rich cultural diversity within our school community as well as exposing students to diverse learning experiences.  With Hispanic Heritage Month, grade levels are researching famous and influential Hispanic Americans along with the great contributions they have made to our society.   This past week students took great pride in their projects and were proud to share with teachers, classmates and me. This coming week we look forward to include fun facts, trivia, videos and literature books related Hispanic Heritage Month.  Here is a quick trivia question for you.  Who was the first Hispanic Woman to go into space? She was also the second woman to become the Director of NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
