E-Books!

Now you can access books from our library anywhere! At home, in the classroom, on the go, as long as you have an electronic device with internet access you can log on to our electronic library and read any of the books we have available.

PebbleGo!

The emergent reader research solution!  DeKalb County Schools have subscribed to all 4 PebbleGo databases for the 2020-2021 school year.  We have access to PebbleGo Animals, PebbleGo Earth and Science, PebbleGo Biographies, and PebbleGo Social Studies.  Each database features expertly-leveled text and navigation specifically designed for our beginning researchers.  Enriched with spoken-word audio, text highlighting and audio and video clips, PebbleGo builds a foundation of research skills for every learner.

Accelerated Reader Program

Chesnut uses the Accelerated Reader program to promote reading and life-long learning. Students can take comprehension quizzes over the books they read if the books are a part of the Accelerated Reader program. The Chesnut media center uses colorful dot stickers on the books to help students pick out just-right books in the library if students would like to take AR quizzes.

Students and parents can always go to www.arbookfind.com to search if any book is an AR book and to find the book's AR level.
